Draft: pending legal review
Terms of Service
Last updated 7 August 2026.
This is a working draft describing how Travelmad actually operates today, published while Travelmad is in closed, invite-only sandbox testing. It has not yet been reviewed by counsel and will be revised (including the sections on our legal entity, governing law, and liability) before Travelmad opens to the public or handles real money. If anything here is unclear, contact us before relying on it.
1. About Travelmad
Travelmad (“we”, “us”) is a travel concierge service for remote workers and digital nomads. We suggest one destination and one accommodation at a time, based on your preferences, and you accept or decline it. An accepted stay booking starts a “loop”: your next suggestion is timed to follow on directly from where the current stay ends.
Travelmad books accommodation only. We do not display, recommend, link to, track, or book flights or any other transport. Where we ask for a starting city or an arrival date, that information is used only to plan your accommodation and the timing of your next suggestion. It is not a flight booking or a flight recommendation.
2. Eligibility and your account
Travelmad is currently available by invitation only, through a waitlist. We review waitlist submissions and invite people in small groups. Access can be paused, declined, or revoked at our discretion while we’re in this testing phase.
You sign in using a passwordless “magic link” sent to your email, so there is no password to manage. You’re responsible for keeping access to that email account secure, since it’s how we verify it’s you. Creating an account isn’t the same as completing onboarding: we ask for a few details (starting city, work schedule, timezone, travel preferences) before we can generate suggestions for you.
3. How suggestions and bookings work
Each suggestion names one destination and one specific accommodation, along with an approximate stay length. Prices shown before you book are estimates. The confirmed price is set at the moment of booking and can differ slightly, since availability and rates change over time.
The written explanations accompanying a suggestion (why this destination, why this timing, why this property suits remote work) are generated by an AI model based on real data about the destination and property. They’re meant to help you decide, not as a guarantee. Always check specifics that matter to you (visa rules, exact amenities, neighbourhood) independently before booking.
When you book, we pass your booking details to our accommodation supplier, LiteAPI, to make the reservation. Travelmad only ever books a rate that supplier confirms is refundable under its own cancellation policy. We don’t book non-refundable rates. Cancellation deadlines and any fee for cancelling late are shown before you confirm a booking.
4. Payments, cancellations, and refunds
Payment for your stay is collected directly by LiteAPI’s payment processor (Stripe), not by Travelmad. Travelmad does not see or store your full card details. You’ll see the total price before authorising payment.
Travelmad only ever books an accommodation rate our supplier confirms is refundable. We never book a non-refundable rate, even if one is cheaper. Before you confirm a booking, we show you the exact cancellation deadline and any fee that applies if you cancel after it. You can cancel a booked stay from within the app at any time: cancel before the free-cancellation deadline and you get a full refund; cancel after it and the fee shown in your booking’s cancellation terms applies. We don’t add any fee of our own on top of that.
Refunds are processed by LiteAPI, not Travelmad: once a cancellation is confirmed, LiteAPI automatically credits the refund back to the card you paid with, following the cancellation policy shown for that booking. That can take a few days to appear on your statement, which is normal for card refunds and not something either party can speed up. If you cancel and don’t see a refund within a reasonable time, or something about a cancellation looks wrong, contact us and we’ll look into it with our supplier directly. Since Travelmad is currently in closed sandbox testing, we’re able to look at these case by case.
5. Flights and transport
Travelmad does not book, sell, recommend, or take responsibility for flights or any other transport to or from a suggested destination. Arranging your own travel, and making sure it’s valid for entry, visas, and any applicable travel documents, is entirely your responsibility.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information for any booking (name, contact details, passport/nationality where required by our accommodation supplier) and to keep your profile up to date. You’re responsible for confirming that you’re legally able to work remotely from, and stay in, a suggested destination. Travelmad does not provide immigration, tax, or legal advice.
7. Liability
Travelmad acts as an intermediary connecting you with accommodation suppliers. We aren’t the accommodation provider and aren’t responsible for the standard of service you receive at a property, though we’ll help where we reasonably can if something goes wrong. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the booking in question. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can’t lawfully be excluded.
8. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile. If you have no current or upcoming booked trip, deletion happens immediately. If you have one, your account stays accessible until that trip ends, then deletion happens automatically. Some booking and payment records are kept afterward in line with our Privacy Policy’s retention terms.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Travelmad develops, particularly as we finalise our legal entity, jurisdiction, and the fuller policies referenced above. We’ll update the “last updated” date when we do. Continuing to use Travelmad after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
To be finalised alongside our legal entity and market decisions, and confirmed by counsel. Until then, no specific jurisdiction is asserted by this draft.
